Brief History of the School
Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Majhwind–Gopalpura, established in 1998 under the esteemed aegis of Chief Khalsa Diwan, stands as a beacon of academic excellence and value-based education. Spread across a peaceful two-acre campus, the school was founded through the unwavering dedication of its founder Principal, Ms. Pritam Kaur Khalsa, and the visionary leadership of founder Member Incharge S. Swinder Singh Kathunangal. Their collective efforts laid the strong foundation of an institution that continues to grow with pride and purpose.
Today, SGHPS moves forward with renewed commitment under the dynamic leadership of Principal Ms. Paramjit Kaur, supported by an enthusiastic team of Members Incharge S. Ajit Singh Tuli, S. Jagir Singh, S. Upkar Singh Chhabra and Dr. Aridaman Singh Mahal others whose valuable guidance strengthens the school’s mission and ethos. Their collective vision ensures that SGHPS remains a centre of inspiration, discipline, and holistic growth.
The school campus is a fine blend of modern infrastructure and traditional Sikh architectural grace. The triple-storey academic block comprises 66 spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, state-of-the-art Science Laboratories, a well-equipped Computer Lab, Geography Lab, Art and Music Rooms. The rich Library, stocked with knowledge-enhancing resources, caters to the intellectual curiosity of students. The on-campus Gurudwara Sahib provides a serene space for spiritual reflection, while the Multipurpose Hall, Basketball Court, and vast playfields support physical fitness, cultural expression, and extracurricular excellence. Affiliated with CBSE up to Class XII, the school offers diverse stream as Medical, NonMedical, Commerce, and Humanities, ensuring students have access to comprehensive and future-ready learning pathways. The school proudly maintains a consistent 100% pass rate in CBSE Board Examinations year after year. This year’s outstanding performance 94% as the highest score in Class X and 92.2% in Class XII stands as a testament to the dedication of students, the perseverance of teachers, and the unwavering academic rigor of school.

The Gatka Team has earned widespread appreciation for its discipline and skill. In the CKDCS Inter-School Sports Meet, SGHPS achieved remarkable victories, including 1st Position in Gatka Demo, 1st Position in Football (U-17), and 2nd Position in Basketball (U-19).
